Kris Erickson

Kris Erickson, Ph.D., is Dean of Postsecondary Success at New Roots Charter School in Ithaca, N.Y., where she guides students’ research-intensive capstones and college-and-career success. A cultural-studies scholar and former professor, Erickson spent 20 years teaching and examining the social and environmental impacts of digital culture and AI, authoring The Digital City and Mediated Urban Ecologies (Palgrave, 2016). She mentors faculty on responsible AI integration and helps teachers develop curricula that foreground transparency, data justice, and critical thinking about emerging technologies in secondary education.
