¿Cómo proteger la Amazonía con nuevas narrativas?

This conversation at 2022 Festival Gabo between journalists, Indigenous communicators, and influencers seeks synergies between research, diverse narratives, and citizenship in order to safeguard the Amazon rainforest from the crises it faces.

It is urgent that powerful stories can be mobilized to elevate the message of environmental damage, corruption, organized crime and global markets that are killing thousands of species of flora and fauna in the Amazon basin. We must also recover the living memories of the more than 500 indigenous peoples, afro-descendant and rural cultures, whose livelihood is the rainforest, which they protect with their knowledge and cosmovisions.

This talk is coordinated in partnership with Agenda Propia and the Pulitzer Center's Amazonía Lab initiative. The conversation will take place in Spanish.
