Tobias Asmuth

INTERNATIONAL RJF GRANTEE

Tobias Asmuth reports on international issues, writing features for magazines and newspapers in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

He has recently written on environmental and agricultural issues. In Romania, he visited the last primeval forests in Europe and accompanied the development of a national park, as well as the world’s largest cooperative for agricultural products in South Korea and agricultural projects on former mafia land in Sicily.

He has also finished a report about protests against a lithium project in northern Portugal with Portuguese photographer André Vieira.

Before that, he worked as a reporter for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and was trained by some of Germany's leading journalists at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
