Alice Maciel is a reporter for Agência Pública in Brasília, focusing on politics, human rights, and the environment. She previously worked for the newspapers Estado de Minas and Diário do Comércio. As a freelancer, she has collaborated with O Globo, Intercept Brasil, and Bloomberg. Maciel won the Délio Rocha Award for Public Interest Journalism (2016 and 2019), the Ortega y Gasset Award (2020), and the Vladimir Herzog Human Rights Award (2020). She graduated in journalism from PUC Minas in 2009.
