Daniel Camargos is an investigative reporter at Repórter Brasil. With 20 years of experience in newsrooms, he focuses on human rights, politics, rural conflicts, environment, and mining. He has worked for the newspapers Folha de São Paulo, Estado de Minas, and O Tempo.

Camargos has won six journalism awards, including the Vladimir Herzog. He was a finalist for the Esso, Petrobras, and CNH awards and nominated for the Gabriel Garcia Márquez. He was recognized by the Human Rights Commission of the Minas Gerais Legislative Assembly as one of the six people who stood out, in 2020, in the defense of human rights.

He is director of the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) and was vice-president of the Union of Professional Journalists of Minas Gerais.
