Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira Case: A Multimedia Investigation

Repórter Brasil presents a long-term multimedia investigative journalism project on the disappearance of journalist Dom Phillips and indigenist Bruno Pereira.

The reporters will follow all the steps of the criminal investigation closely, maintaining constant contact with those involved. They will produce periodic stories and one documentary. 

The coverage is divided into two main axes. The first is to retrace the route taken by Phillips and Pereira. The idea is follow their footsteps and understand the threats suffered. The reporters will also investigate the local context and the threats to Indigenous people and to other Funai employees in the region. The second part is an attempt to retell the story the journalist Phillips intended to tell, especially on the experience of the 'Forest Guardians.'
