Lise Josefsen Hermann is an independent journalist in Ecuador and Denmark. She has lived in Latin America for 10 years—she spent three years in Bolivia and now lives in Ecuador, a country from which she travels often to other countries throughout the region in order to report for several media organizations, including Al Jazeera, Angular, Bistandsaktuelt, Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Deutsche Welle, La Barra Espaciadora, Undark Magazine, and NGOs such as Amnesty International and Oxfam.
She has focused on the Colombian armed conflict, peace processes, displaced persons and refugees, the state of migrant women, the Venezuelan diaspora in South America, human rights, women's rights, the environment, and threats against environmental defenders and Indigenous communities in Latin America and beyond.
