Santiago Wills is a writer from Bogotá, Colombia. He studied philosophy at the National University in Bogotá, and later earned a master's in journalism at Columbia University in New York and a master's in creative writing at New York University. He was a Rosalynn Carter Scholar, a Fulbright Scholar, and, most recently, a recipient of the Michael Jacobs Scholarship, given by the Hay Festival and the Gabo Foundation, to write a book about the jaguar. 

His stories have been shortlisted for the Gabo Prize and the True Story Award. His first novel, Jaguar, was longlisted for the Herralde Prize and is set to be published by Random House in August 2021.   

He lives in Bogotá with his wife and his Czechoslovakian wolfdog, Lobo.
