Thierry Kalonji Kalonga has practiced environmental journalism in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2013. He was born in Lubumbashi on June 28, 1987 and graduated with a degree in communications from Information and Communication Sciences University College (IFASIC).
He is the position of editor-in-chief at Environews-RDC, a publication at which he's worked since 2013, and he is passionate about the environment, a passion that drives him to inform the public via his work. He has produced several audiovisual and print media reports on topics such as forests, biodiversity, climate change, sanitation, pollution and others.
Kalonji Kalong considers tenacity, meticulousness, determination, punctuality and rigour to be the key words of his professional life. He won first place in the Forests competition organized by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in 2019.
