Cecília do Lago

Cecília do Lago is a data journalist, currently a freelance reporter. Previously, do Lago was a temporary reporter at Aos Fatos, a producer at CNN Brasil, and a reporter at Estadão. Do Lago currently covers politics, judiciary, public security, education, and transparency.

Her main works are: an investigation on the improper distribution of emergency aid to military personnel; the most detailed map of the 2018 elections; drawing the map of the cover of Estadão newspaper on October 1, 2017 with the report "Wave of Cell Phone Robberies Spreads and Reaches Half the Streets of São Paulo", which was the first time that a map occupied the traditional place of a photo on the cover of the printed newspaper. This earned do Lago and her team the Estado Award for Best Infographics of the Year.
