Monegalad Nutanpat Sopangang revisits the indigenous Tombonuo villagers in Kampung Sungai Eloi in Pitas, Sabah, in the aftermath of a RM1.23 billion shrimp farm park. The mega project in Malaysia was meant to provide job opportunities and alleviate poverty in the poorest district in Sabah. More than a decade on, after 2,300 acres of pristine mangrove forests have been cleared, the shrimp farms have stopped operations.
