Dani is an activist for the protection of the Brazilian Amazon. She is the feature of the second chapter in the series "Rainforest Defenders," which paints a portrait of five leaders who are defending their territory.

Dani is a 21-year-old, riberina (river-dwelling community member) activist. But, in order to become what she is today, she has experienced a challenging and brave search for identity that cannot be fully grasped without understanding the context in which it took place.
